Position Overview & Requirements
As a PRN Travel Pharmacist, you will seamlessly step into multiple pharmacy environments, maintaining top-tier productivity, quality standards, and strict legal compliance while checking prescriptions and managing pharmacy workflows.
- Location: Various locations across Utah (Must be open to travel/commute)
- Schedule: PRN / Open weekday availability required (Monday – Friday)
- Licensure: Must hold an active, open, and in good standing Utah State Pharmacist License
- Education: Pharm.D.
- Experience: 1+ years of post-graduate experience
- Compliance: Ability to successfully complete a background check, health screening, and drug screen
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Oversight: Perform drug calculations, interpret prescriptions, review patient profiles, and provide expert patient counseling.
- Workflow Verification: Act as the final-check pharmacist, reviewing pharmacy technicians' work, verifying physician orders, and managing Medication Therapy Management (MTM) protocols.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Contact physician offices to clarify or modify medications/therapies based on comprehensive patient medical histories.
- Inventory & Compliance: Dispense narcotic medications, maintain strict logs, manage proper storage/security, and oversee inventory (ordering, stocking, and removing expired items).
- Daily Operations: Assist in filling, labeling, and mixing pharmaceutical preparations as permitted by the State Board; answer clinical inquiries from patients and technicians.
