Qualifications/Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or equivalent program
- Valid ARRT certification (CT certification preferred)
- Prior experience operating CT and/or PET/CT imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and diagnostic procedures
- Current BLS certification required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and/or PET/CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols
- Ensure safety of patients and staff by adhering to radiation safety procedures
- Review, prepare, and position patients for imaging procedures, providing optimal patient comfort and care
- Accurately document patient records and exam details in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality diagnostic results
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any malfunctions or safety issues
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies
- Provide patient education before, during, and after imaging procedures
