Here is the Nassau County version with the schedule removed:
YAI’s Nassau County residential programs support people of varying ages who take an active role in running their homes and participating in their communities. The people we support may help make decisions about grocery shopping, household responsibilities, recreational activities, community outings, and events within the residence.
Many of the people we support enjoy accessing their local communities, attending recreational activities, visiting restaurants and stores, and participating in larger trips throughout New York and surrounding areas. Whether someone is learning to navigate the community, working toward a personal goal, participating in an outing, or helping with household tasks, our employees provide individualized support that promotes independence and personal choice.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership within the program and assist with the proper implementation of individual goals, behavior support strategies, progress reports, and required documentation. The Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist will communicate regularly with the Behavior Intervention Specialist regarding the needs and progress of the people supported.
This is a dual role in which the Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist will also perform Direct Support Professional responsibilities, including assisting with daily living skills, personal care, community inclusion, household responsibilities, and other areas of individualized support.
