Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrain components.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, ADAS features, and mechanical components effectively.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform wheel alignments, suspension checks, and steering repairs to optimize vehicle handling and safety.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess overall condition and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services.
- Document all repair procedures thoroughly in accordance with dealership or service center standards for transparency and quality control.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Expertise in working with ADAS systems, electrical wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrains.
- Proficiency with automotive service equipment such as wheel alignment machines, welding tools, and diagnostic scanners.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and auto estimating software for accurate repair planning.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred; experience with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
