What You’ll Do
As a Children’s Home-Based Clinician, you’ll provide direct services to children and families experiencing serious emotional disturbance or mental illness. Your work will include:
- Conducting intake assessments, pre-plans, and individualized service plans
- Delivering therapy and support in home and community settings
- Strengthening parenting skills and promoting healthy parent-child interactions
- Supporting families through emotional challenges and daily stressors
- Collaborating with schools, agencies, and community partners
- Participating in crisis response and Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services (ICSS)
- Implementing evidence-based practices aligned with person-centered planning
You’ll treat both the child and family unit, helping them build resilience and achieve meaningful progress.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Appropriate Michigan licensure
- Experience providing child and family mental health services preferred
- MI-AIMH Endorsement for Early Childhood/Infant Mental Health valued
- Functional computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use is valued
