Job Summary
As a Hostess/Host, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your energetic personality and outstanding communication skills will shine as you greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service. You’ll play a vital role in creating a warm atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back for more!
What you’ll do
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring optimal seating arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs and service flow.
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about menu items and making reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area to enhance guest experience.
- Assist in guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the dining experience.
- Support serving staff during peak times by assisting with drink orders or clearing tables as needed.
Basic qualifications
- Previous host/host or restaurant experience preferred, showcasing your familiarity with food service dynamics.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members alike.
- Background in hotel or guest services can provide an added advantage.
