JOB OVERVIEW
A Dental Assistant supports and assists providers with patient care. It is essential to be able to lead, be flexible, friendly, have a can do personality and work in a timely fashion. In addition, a Dental Assistant must possess strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and build rapport with patients, and demonstrate a commitment to provide a high-quality patient experience.
GENERAL HIRING REQUIREMENTS
▪ WA state dental assistant and radiology license
▪ High school diploma.
▪ Demonstrated ability to assume dental assistant responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Understand and demonstrate proper sterilization, biohazard and infection control procedures in compliance with OSHA requirements and company standard operating protocols and procedures.
▪ Demonstrate complete knowledge of dental terminology.
▪ Perform all chair side procedures efficiently and effectively in support of the dentist's treatment services.
▪ Demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and proper tray setups.
▪ Properly take, develop and mount diagnostically acceptable x-rays, including full mouth series, bite wing, periapical, and panoramic cephalometric radiographs.
▪ Efficiently direct patient flow through teamwork and communication.
▪ Perform all necessary lab procedures.
▪ Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using the practice's dental software.
▪ Stock treatment areas, carts and dental related facility inventory.
▪ Demonstrate knowledge of dental treatment equipment maintenance procedures.
▪ Identify and explain chart sticker numbers as they relate to financial arrangements and specialty referral.
▪ Demonstrate cost effective techniques when utilizing supplies and equipment.
▪ Cross-train and help any staff member that may be in need of assistance.
▪ Other duties as assigned and required.

▪ Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation.
▪ Able to perform basic computer functions using practice management software.
▪ Comply with company's standard operating protocols and procedures.
▪ Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
