Job Summary
Join our vibrant pet care team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and flair for pet styling come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully groomed dogs. In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet’s comfort and appearance while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities
- Perform pet coat styling, trimming, bathing, and drying to meet breed standards and owner preferences
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately using animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming session
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene procedures with precision and care
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs and provide advice on pet care routines
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and properly sanitize tools and equipment after each use
- Recognize signs of health issues or discomfort in pets and advise owners accordingly or refer to veterinary professionals when necessary
- Assist with pet sitting or handling during grooming procedures that require extra support or heavy lifting
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming, including coat styling and pet handling techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with animal handling, restraint, and behavior management to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Strong communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist larger or heavier animals safely
- Experience in dog training, veterinary experience, or equine experience is advantageous but not required
- Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for clients and their pets

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
