Position: Title Closer
Job Summary: SLH Title is seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Title Closer to join our growing team. SLH Title works closely with Homebuilders, supporting residential real estate transactions and helping provide a smooth closing experience for homebuyers from contract through closing.
The Title Closer will be responsible for coordinating and completing residential real estate closings while communicating effectively with buyers, lenders, real estate professionals, builders, and internal team members. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable managing multiple files, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate residential and commercial real estate closings.
- Review title commitments and ensure all title requirements have been satisfied.
- Prepare Closing Disclosures (CDs), settlement statements, and closing packages.
- Schedule closings with all parties involved.
- Communicate with lenders, Realtors, attorneys, buyers, sellers, and underwriters throughout the transaction.
- Verify loan documents, payoff statements, tax information, HOA estoppels, and municipal requirements.
- Balance closing files and ensure all funds are received and disbursed accurately.
- Conduct or facilitate closings and explain closing documents to customers.
- Record documents with the appropriate county offices.
- Issue title insurance policies following closing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, lender, and underwriter guidelines.
- Resolve title or closing issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of title, escrow, or real estate closing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of title insurance, escrow procedures, and real estate transactions.
- Experience preparing Closing Disclosures and settlement statements.
- Strong understanding of TRID, CFPB, ALTA Best Practices, and state regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title production software (such as Accuair, SoftPro, ResWare, Closers’ Choice, Qualia, or RamQuest).

Pay: $53,611.88 - $64,564.85 per year
