Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and transport products within the production area. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy duty forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Support heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes within a warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining safety standards.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
