Venue Host
Position Summary
The Venue Host serves as the primary on-site day-of representative for our event venues, ensuring each property is guest-ready, welcoming, and operating smoothly throughout every event. This role is responsible for opening and closing venue spaces, preparing event areas, supporting clients and vendor partners day-of, monitoring the property during events, and restoring the venue to company standards afterward.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Essential Responsibilities
Venue Preparation
Open and prepare assigned venue(s) prior to events.

Unlock buildings and event spaces and ensure all lighting, climate controls, and building systems are operating properly.

Complete venue walkthroughs to verify cleanliness, organization, and readiness.
Prepare bridal suites, lounges, and guest spaces with stocked amenities and refreshments (as needed)

Inspect restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.

Set exterior signage and ensure parking and guest arrival areas are welcoming.

Perform light housekeeping, sweeping, and general property maintenance to maintain presentation standards.

Review event layouts and verify room setups match event diagrams and client expectations.

Identify and resolve setup discrepancies before guest arrival.
Client & Vendor Support

Welcome planners, vendors, and clients upon arrival.

Serve as the on-site venue resource throughout the event.

Answer questions and provide guidance regarding venue operations and policies.
Work with catering teams, rental vendors, DJs, photographers, and planners day-of to help ensure smooth event execution.

Communicate any facility concerns or event issues promptly to leadership.
Event Oversight

Monitor venue spaces throughout events to maintain cleanliness and organization.

Restock restroom supplies and empty trash as needed.

Adjust lighting, climate controls, and venue ambiance throughout the event.

Ensure outdoor spaces remain clean, safe, and guest-ready.

Monitor venue policies, including music curfews and property guidelines.

Perform regular property walks to identify maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or guest needs.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule & Availability
Flexible schedule with availability to work as needed from a list of set dates, either opening or closing venue spaces.
Must be able to travel to company venues as assigned.
Compensation
This is a part-time hourly position. Pay rate range is $23-$25 per hour.
