Position Summary
The Care Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of caregiver schedules and reliable delivery of personal care services for clients in the Las Cruces market. This role has a strong focus on Turquoise Care (New Mexico’s Medicaid managed care program), with primary emphasis on the Agency-Based Community Benefit (ABCB) and Self-Directed Community Benefit (SDCB) programs delivered through the four Turquoise Care MCOs. You will ensure consistent, high-quality service coverage, maximize authorized personal care hours, maintain full compliance with program requirements, and support excellent client and caregiver experiences in a fast-paced homecare environment. This is a hands-on operational role critical to the successful launch and ongoing performance of our new Las Cruces office.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Coordinate caregiver schedules and coverage needs to ensure reliable, consistent service delivery and 100% utilization of authorized hours.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and MCO case managers regarding schedules, service changes, and updates.
- Respond promptly to call-offs, coverage gaps, urgent scheduling issues, and changes in client needs.
- Support client intake, onboarding, and orientation processes.
- Collaborate with recruiting and training teams to help onboard new caregivers and provide orientation on agency policies, documentation, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), and program-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate schedules, service records, and documentation in compliance with Turquoise Care, ABCB/SDCB, and HCA guidelines.
- Monitor and support EVV systems, perform corrections, ensure timely documentation, and maintain audit readiness.
- Assist with gathering medical records and supporting annual Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA), reauthorizations, and renewals as needed.
- Support payroll/billing processes by resolving timesheet or authorization issues.
- Uphold strict confidentiality, professionalism, and HIPAA standards at all times.
- Represent Alpenglow Homecare’s values of compassion, reliability, choice, autonomy, and dignity in every interaction.
- Travel locally within the Las Cruces/southern New Mexico area as needed for client or caregiver support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–3+ years of experience in home care scheduling, care coordination, or operations within New Mexico Medicaid homecare.
- Direct working knowledge of Turquoise Care, ABCB, and SDCB programs, including authorizations, EVV, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with the four Turquoise Care MCOs (authorizations, care coordination, documentation).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with EVV/EMR systems, scheduling software, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and ability to learn program-specific portals.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience with Mi Via Self-Directed Waiver or other HCBS waivers (DD Waiver, Supports Waiver, Medically Fragile).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – highly desirable for the Las Cruces community.
- Previous exposure to Plan of Care development and Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
