Palmetto Baby Care is seeking experienced, dependable Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide exceptional overnight care for newborns and infants (0–12 months) in the comfort of their homes. As a Night Nurse, you'll help families navigate the early days of parenthood by providing expert newborn care, breastfeeding support, and the reassurance parents need to rest with confidence.

Anticipated Schedule: 8-hour overnight shifts beginning between 9:00 PM–11:00 PM and ending between 6:00 AM–7:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional overnight care for newborns and infants (0–12 months)
- Support breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and infant feeding routines
- Perform diaper changes, swaddling, soothing, and newborn hygiene
- Monitor infant health and communicate any concerns with families
- Provide umbilical cord and circumcision care
- Complete light household tasks related to infant care, including bottle sterilization, baby laundry, and preparing infant clothing
- Offer education, guidance, and reassurance to parents throughout the night
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in South Carolina
- Current BLS and/or PALS certification
- Previous experience caring for newborns and infants, preferably in a Mother-Baby, NICU, Labor & Delivery, Pediatric, or home care setting
- Strong knowledge of newborn care, breastfeeding support, feeding, swaddling, soothing, and common newborn conditions, including jaundice, colic, and reflux
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, dependable, and able to work independently in a family's home
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Professional references required
- Availability for overnight and weekend shifts, as needed
- Comfortable working closely with families in a home environment
