Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bilingual (English/Spnaish) Medical Receptionist/Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in and check-out processes
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification using systems like Epic, Availity
- Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as epic, ensuring optimal clinic flow
- Collect and process payments, perform medical billing and coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims submissions
- Maintain comprehensive medical records by reviewing documentation for accuracy, updating electronic health records (EHR), and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and internal communication
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document review, and preparing care plans
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or front desk role within a healthcare setting; clinic or dental office experience preferred
- some knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance procedures, and health information management systems like Epic.
- Excellent computer skills
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on patient service and office management; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with insurance verification, medical scheduling, filing systems, and health insurance knowledge is preferred
