I am looking for a reliable, warm, and highly organized nanny/family assistant to become an important part of our family's routine. I have three wonderful boys (ages 7, 7, and 9), and I'm hoping to find someone who is interested in a long-term position with the opportunity for the role to grow over time. Ideally, I need help 3-4 afternoons/evenings each week, although I'm flexible for the right person in both time and pay.
Duties
- Picking the boys up from school in Basking Ridge (a safe, reliable driver with a clean driving record is required) & transporting them to after-school activities as needed.
- Help with homework, including prodiving extra reading support for one of my sons.
- Preparing simple dinners or snacks.
- Keeping the afternoon running smoothly and maintaining daily structure; helping the boys clean up after themselves and preparing for school the next day.
- Light household organization related to the children (backpacks, lunches, laundry as needed, tidying play areas).
Qualifications
- We're a warm, active family, and my boys are kind, energetic, and fun to be around. I'm looking for someone who is calm, dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing three children while helping keep our home running smoothly.
- Prior experience with children (or perhaps the oldest of a large family).
- Has their own car and driver's license.
- Interest in art, childcare, nursing or a related field is preffered.
- Organized, attentive, and kind.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
- Beyond childcare, I'd love to find someone who enjoys being a true family assistant. As a single mom who owns her own business, there may be opportunities to help with errands, scheduling, organizing, and occasional administrative tasks as the relationship develops. My hope is to find someone who enjoys variety and is excited about growing with our family.
The position has the potential to expand over time for the right person, including additional hours, increased responsibilities, and even the opportunity to travel with our family in the future.
