Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting to promote comfort and independence.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments.
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols to ensure safety and compliance.
- Engage in meaningful communication with clients to understand their needs and preferences, fostering trust and rapport.
- Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities to ensure a safe environment.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a clean and welcoming living space.
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral management strategies.
- Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation needs.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR, and first aid certification.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility challenges.

Pay: $20.25 - $35.00 per hour
