Details:
Monday-Friday (with weekend rotation: 1-3 weekend days per month)
Weekday schedule will change when working a weekend
Will consider five-8 or four-10 hour shifts per week
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing a full range of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Demonstrates accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of school of physical therapy or occupational therapy with a Bachelor of Science Degree, or a master’s degree from a recognized program in Speech Pathology.
- Current license to practice in Oklahoma.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation procedures.
- Education/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is required.
- Education/experience in working with infants in a NICU setting is preferred.
- Education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work with confused and aggressive patients.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
- Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderately heavy material, supplies or patients (up to or > 100 lbs.) for most of the shift.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavyweight materials (over 100 lbs.)
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the work schedule, with some bending and stooping.
- Demonstrate adequate stamina to heal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule.
