Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation, as well as some electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry skills. They will also be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of our properties through the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as well as appliances, plumbing and electrical.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, Appliances, Plumbing, and Electrical, including equipment inspection and troubleshooting.
- Respond to resident service requests and conduct thorough inspections of HVAC, Appliances, Plumbing, and Electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning/picking up trash on property, pressure washing, pool maintenance, and other outdoor maintenance activities as required.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, as needed.
- Ensure all HVAC systems are in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Document all work performed in a detailed and organized manner.
- Collaborate with management and maintenance staff to ensure effective property maintenance.
- Prepare apartments after move out for the new tenant occupancy using plumbing, electrical, appliance repair skills with minor painting at times.
- Possess knowledge of welding and the ability to use an ohmmeter to test electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, equipment repair and appliance repair.
- Ability to perform field service and travel to two locations.
- Experience with property maintenance, including HVAC system maintenance.
- Proficiency in welding and the use of an ohmmeter.
- Experience with refrigeration systems and the ability to keep them cool and running smoothly.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
