At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing clinical excellence. We’re seeking a Clinical Director, Perioperative Services to lead and elevate our surgical services across the organization.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, GI/Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing, with direct influence on patient outcomes, operational performance, and service line growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day operations across all perioperative services
- Drive OR efficiency, patient throughput, and resource utilization
- Champion quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives
- Build and develop high-performing clinical teams
- Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and executive leadership
- Manage budgets, labor, and capital planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, OSHA)
What You Bring
- 5+ years RN experience in acute care, including perioperative services
- 3+ years leadership experience (Manager/Director level)
- Proven ability to lead surgical operations and drive performance
- Strong experience with OR workflows, staffing, and throughput
- Ability to influence physicians and cross-functional leaders
Requirements
- Current RN license (California)
- Bachelor’s degree required (BSN preferred)
- Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related) required
- BLS certification
- LA City Fire Card within 30 days
Preferred
- CNOR and/or NE-BC / NEA-BC
- Experience leading multi-unit perioperative departments
