Together Tree is a psychology group practice providing Faith-integrated, evidence-based mental health care. We work with adolescents, traditional-aged youth, and adults, supporting clients through a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Therapist (AMFT) who is actively accruing clinical hours toward licensure. This role offers high-quality supervision, a supportive culture, and meaningful independent clinical work.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy under clinical supervision
- For clients who are seeking it, Integrate faith with psychological Evidence-Based Practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, MI) for robust, meaningful, client-centered care. Currently looking for a Provider who has Christian identity and has strong competency in faith-integrated care.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in weekly supervision and consultation
- Provide services via in-person and telehealth formats

- Life transitions and Grief and Loss
- Relationship and interpersonal issues
- Mood disorders
- Eating disorders and self injurious behaviors
- Substance use issues
- Career, vocational, and future planning
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program
- Registered or register-eligible as AMFT
- Previous clinical work experience for min. 1 year placement/500 hours
- Commitment to Christian faith and ethical integration in therapy
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Interest in working with adolescents and adults
- Can commit to a min of 10 clinical hours per week

Application Question(s):
- Clinicians are able to create their own schedules. We ask that they provide a relatively consistent schedule week to week, and to provide min one afternoon/evening or weekend day of in-office availability. What evening and/or weekend day would you be available to work each week In-office at our La Mesa based location? Our current immediate need for in-office is Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from around 1-7pm. Telehealth sessions can take place on other days/times of the week.
