Job Summary
Join our healthcare team as a Certified or Non‑Certified HHA/PCA, providing compassionate, hands‑on support that enhances the independence, safety, and well‑being of clients in home and community settings. In this essential role, you’ll assist with daily activities, deliver specialized care, and help individuals maintain their quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients needing memory or hospice care.
Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately
- Support medication administration following proper medical documentation protocols while respecting HIPAA privacy standards
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care and hospice support to ensure comfort and safety
- Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and document patient progress regularly
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment in compliance with health standards
- Support patients in community settings by helping them navigate daily routines and fostering independence
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or willingness to obtain certification; non-certified applicants are encouraged to apply for training opportunities
- Prior experience in home health care, nursing homes, assisted living or long-term care settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition promptly
- Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining patient dignity and respect
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Ability to work independently in live-in employment arrangements or community-based roles while adhering to safety protocols
