Construction Inspectors Responsibilities
· Performing daily inspections
· Testing of construction materials, as needed
· Documenting findings and submit a daily report
· Effective and diplomatic communication with job site supervisor and crew
· Notifying Engineer or Project Manager of deficiencies and concerns
Minimum qualifications:
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
· Effective written and oral English communication skills
· Candidates should be experienced in inspection of bridge maintenance work to include deck patching, expansion joint reconstruction, hydro demolition, latex concrete overlays & MOT
· ACI Concrete Field Certification required
· VDOT Soils & Aggregate Certification required
· VDOT Asphalt I & II required
· VDOT Intermediate Workzone required
-DEQ/VDOT Erosion and Sediment Control Certification required
· Comfortable getting hands dirty
· Ability to lift 45+ pounds
· Detail oriented
· Dependable and Flexible
Pay: $37.00 - $43.00 per hour
