Are you passionate about providing spiritual support and compassionate care to seniors and families? Our growing home care agency is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Chaplain to serve clients throughout Indianapolis and surrounding communities.
As a Chaplain, you will play an important role in supporting the emotional and spiritual well-being of clients receiving care in their homes. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, a strong listener, and committed to serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to clients and families
- Conduct home visits throughout Indianapolis and nearby areas
- Offer prayer, encouragement, companionship, and end-of-life support as appropriate
- Coordinate with caregivers, nurses, and care teams to support holistic client care
- Document visits and maintain professional communication with staff
- Respect all faiths, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds
Types of Services Rendered:
- Routine visit
- Extended/end-of-life visit
- On-call bereavement support
Qualifications:
- Previous chaplain, ministry, pastoral care, hospice, healthcare, or counseling experience preferred
- Ordained minister or formal spiritual care training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to travel throughout the Indianapolis metro area
