Tada! Events is seeking energetic and enthusiastic Chefs to help service the backstage catering in live musical performances all around Los Angeles. Our chefs create meals for production and artists with pride and adaptability. This is the ideal role for
those wanting to gain experience in a high volume/ fast paced kitchen with multiple cuisines.
Roles Include:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
- Preparing food, including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on Lead Chef’s guidance
- Working with FOH and hospitality team to ensure that orders are completed as requested and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen / cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operational procedures and hygiene practices meet food safety standards and regulations
- Preparing the basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes
- Monitoring product freshness and rotating out old products based on quality control schedule
- Cleaning all Equipment and store properly for the next show
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work 8-14 hours, with long periods of standing
- Be adaptable - our kitchens are in various locations and constantly changing meal times
- Be detail oriented, focused and work well under pressure and deadlines
- Must be able to work quickly in an extremely fast paced environment
- Have strong food preparation skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have 3 years of previous employment experience in a restaurant/cafe environment
- ServSafe Certified or ability to become ServSafe Certified
- Must have reliable transportation
