Job Overview
Candlewood Suites Turlock is seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel property. This position is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, public areas, building systems, and grounds are maintained in a safe, clean, and professional condition. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and exterior grounds to brand standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Assist with room renovations, painting, drywall repairs, and other property improvement projects.
- Participate in the on-call schedule and respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills for work orders and reporting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
