Position Summary The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist is a professional who supports individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders in developing the skills needed to live independently and thrive in their communities. The specialist will deliver group and individual interventions, facilitate classes, and collaborate with team members, families, and outside professionals to promote clients’ social, emotional, and cognitive well-being.Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate PSR groups and activities focused on independent living skills, coping strategies, socialization, and recovery.
- Work with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans with measurable goals.
- Promote the development of self-esteem, daily living skills, and social skills through structured activities and therapeutic interventions.
- Document services accurately and in compliance with state and agency requirements.
- Provide education and support to families and caregivers to encourage continued progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including case managers, therapists, and medical providers, to ensure coordinated care.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field (required).
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles and practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR/First Aid certification (required).
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation (required).
- Willingness to complete TOVA and all other required training classes.
- Flexibility in schedule and approach to meet the needs of clients and the program.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
