Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology, anatomy knowledge, and pain management goals
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend self-care practices for ongoing wellness
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and medical terminology in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to occupational health standards and maintaining proper sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and customize sessions for optimal results
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and certifications such as CPR to enhance service quality
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) with active certification
- Proven experience in massage therapy, particularly in medical spa or occupational health settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Demonstrated ability to perform deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced techniques
- Prior experience working with pain management clients or in med spa environments is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Certification in CPR and first aid required or obtainable upon hire
