Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Air Duct Cleaning Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional cleaning services for residential, commercial, and industrial air duct systems. Your expertise will help improve indoor air quality, enhance HVAC system efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors and indoors, utilizing specialized cleaning equipment and techniques to deliver top-tier service with energy and precision.
Responsibilities
- Use ladders safely to access ductwork in various building environments, ensuring proper handling at all times.
- Perform thorough cleaning of air ducts using manual tools, industrial cleaning equipment, and pressure washing techniques to remove dust, debris, mold, and other contaminants.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as rotary brushes, vacuum systems, and pressure washers while adhering to safety protocols.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to maintain safety during all cleaning procedures.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy duct sections or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Conduct outdoor work in different weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including fire extinguisher use and hazard awareness, to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist with other commercial cleaning tasks such as floor buffing or outdoor surface cleaning when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about the work performed and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, especially with duct or HVAC system cleaning projects is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, pressure washing equipment, and specialized cleaning devices is highly desirable.
- Experience working outdoors or in outdoor environments adds value to your application.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, manual handling, ladder use, and fire safety is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients at all times.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to meet the following requirements:
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check with no disqualifying criminal history.
- Drug Screening: Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
- Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no history of DWI/DUI offenses.
