Job Overview
We are seeking a proven freight sales hunter, someone who knows how to prospect, penetrate, and close shipper accounts in a competitive market. This is not a training role and not a relationship-maintenance position. We are looking for a results-driven business developer who has consistently built a book of business through disciplined outreach, sharp qualification, and relentless follow-through.
In this role, you will own the entire front end of the sales cycle, from cold outreach and discovery through contract execution and initial load ramp-up. You will be expected to create opportunities, convert them into active shippers, and hand off clean, profitable freight to operations.
This role is ideal for someone who:

- Understands freight brokerage economics (margins, capacity, lanes, service)

- Wants the freedom to hunt without micromanagement, and the responsibility that comes with it
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and engage new shipper accounts via cold calling, email, and targeted outreach
- Run discovery calls, identify pain points, and position freight solutions effectively
- Close new business and drive initial volume ramp-up
- Build a sustainable book of business, not one-off transactional freight
- Collaborate with operations to ensure strong execution post-sale
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ solid years of freight brokerage or logistics sales experience
- Demonstrated history of closing new shipper accounts
- Strong phone presence and objection-handling skills
- Self-starter mindset with high personal standards and urgency
What This Is Not
- Not a lead-fed SDR role
- Not a farming or account management position
- Not for someone uncomfortable with cold outreach or performance pressure

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
