Position: Pediatric Dental Assistant
Grand River Pediatric Dentistry is a growing pediatric dental practice seeking a highly motivated, positive, and patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, but will very much be part of a great team atmosphere. Candidates must possess strong listening skills and show compassion, with the ability to understand and carry out directions. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent customer service, be organized and pay great attention to detail. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm and occasional Fridays.
Key Tasks
- Responsible for seating patients and gathering dental and medical history
- Taking digital radiographs and intraoral photos
- Performing chair-side, four-handed dentistry
- Independently managing a schedule and completing patient care within license
- Performing sterilization and other office tasks
- Assisting in dental procedures performed in a hospital operating room or anesthesia setting
- Entering patient information into dental chart and completing treatment plans
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent with post-high school courses in a dental-related arena (required)
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification (required)
- X-ray certification required
- Dental experience required
- Must enjoy working with children and parents
