Duties
- Perform a variety of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and artistry
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or enhancements
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly disinfecting tools and workstations to ensure client safety
- Apply knowledge of color theory to create customized nail designs that complement clients’ styles and personalities
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, skincare items, and nail care tools to enhance client experience and increase sales
- Stay current with the latest trends in nail design, techniques like airbrushing or 3D art, and new product offerings
- Assist with retail sales by providing excellent customer service and building lasting relationships with clients
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license or certification specific to nail technology as required by state or local regulations
- Proven experience in nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, acrylics, and artistic designs
- Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety procedures to prevent infections
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Familiarity with advanced treatments such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of retail math principles for upselling products effectively
