Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install various finish carpentry components including cabinetry, molding, trim, doors, and siding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and fabrication.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks such as framing, drywall finishing, caulking, plastering, and flooring installation.
- Perform restoration work including water damage remediation, mold remediation, and structural repairs to restore properties to their original condition or improve them.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate schedules, materials, and project timelines for seamless execution.
- Conduct heavy lifting when necessary to transport materials or equipment safely around the job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and finish work.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and fixture installation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) with a focus on safety.
- Experience with various construction disciplines such as masonry, roofing, siding installation, tile laying, flooring installation, plumbing, electrical work, and metal stud framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex projects like rebar installation or concrete forming.
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to cabinetry fabrication or CNC machinery is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for reading schematics accurately and collaborating effectively with team members.
