MCCA is looking for a reliable and skilled Facility Cook to join our team, serving our Danbury Residential Programs. If you’re passionate about preparing nutritious meals in a clean and caring environment, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do...
- Prepare & Serve Meals: Cook and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to approved menus or as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor or Program Director.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen, dining area, and food storage spaces are clean, sanitary, and organized.
- Ensure Food Quality: Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across all meals.
- Equipment Care: Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working order.
- Support Operations: Assist with daily kitchen upkeep and perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For...
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Must be a Serve Safe Qualified Food Manager or Certified Food Handler.
- Experience: Specialized cooking training and/or at least 2 years of experience in a similar environment (residential, healthcare, or institutional setting preferred).
