For 36 years, WM Schutt & Associates has been proud to be the local civil engineers and land surveyors in the region. With our office in Lancaster, NY, our project team is able to perform a variety of civil engineering and land development services for projects throughout Buffalo, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Broad understanding and experience for operating survey equipment, such as Robotic and Total Stations, Data Collectors, GNSS RTK & Static Observations.
- Accurately calculates and records field data
- Review of job specifications and plans for fieldwork methods
- Review and download field data
- Prepare field notes and draw sketches of existing site conditions
- Prepare detailed daily job reports and discuss projects with supervisors on daily basis
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex instrumentation
- Drafting and editing of surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
- Perform other like duties assigned
Requirements:
- AAS or BS in Land Surveying a plus
- Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of survey calculations, techniques and procedures
- Good judgment and organizational skills
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to stand, climb and walk continuously during an 8 hour period
- Must have good computer skills and able to learn survey related software
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver License
- Willing to obtain OSHA 10 hour and Hazwoper 40 hour safety cert (company provided)
- Wear proper safety clothing
- Ability to work and carry heavy objects in extreme weather conditions
