Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate trailers and flatbeds trucks. As a vital part of our logistics operation, you'll ensure timely deliveries, load and unload cargo, and maintain excellent customer service standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated local routes in NJ, NY, and PA area while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Securing cargo to products delivered arrive undamaged
- Drive various types of trucks including 24 ft flatbeds, tractors, and 48ft flatbed trailers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption while managing route driving responsibilities
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips
Skills
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of freight handling and load & unload procedures
- Strong understanding of route planning, traffic patterns, and safety protocols for commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers
- Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and handle heavy cargo efficiently
