We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system or similar platforms.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils between guests.
- Process payments accurately, utilizing math skills for cash handling as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems like OpenTable is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
