Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing drywall or plaster before painting or coating application
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or power tools to achieve smooth, durable coats
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to determine project scope and specifications
- Utilize hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, scrapers, and brushes for surface preparation and finishing touches
- Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial coating applications and stucco or masonry finishes on various structures
- Conduct renovation work by restoring or refinishing existing surfaces with precision and attention to detail
- Install fixtures or trim carpentry elements as needed during remodeling or restoration projects
- Use construction estimating skills for material planning and project timelines to ensure efficient workflow
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites while operating power tools and handling hazardous materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques
- Hands-on experience with commercial and industrial painting projects involving construction site work
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and basic math for accurate measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing is highly desirable
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, rollers; power tools including airless paint sprayers; welding equipment is a plus
- Previous construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work effectively in dynamic environments
- Ability to perform renovation tasks involving fixture installation and restoration work confidently
- Basic handyman skills including carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks on various surfaces
