The Program Manager will oversee the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of community-based violence prevention initiatives at El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center. This position manages program operations, coordinates partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs), supports Community Health Workers (CHWs), and ensures successful implementation of evidence-based violence prevention strategies across program sites. The Program Manager works closely with the Director of Operations, partner organizations, and evaluation teams to implement grant-funded initiatives that strengthen community infrastructure, build workforce capacity, empower youth leadership, and support long-term program sustainability.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of related/equivalent experience in a management/supervisory role with a Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, community development, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Bilingual (Spanish/ English; speak and write) preferred.
- Must clear FBI/DOJ background check.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience managing community-based programs, public health initiatives, or social service programs.
- Experience coordinating multi-partner collaborations or coalitions.
- Familiarity with community violence prevention, youth development, or community health worker programs preferred.
- Strong project management, organizational, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with program monitoring, reporting, and evaluation processes.
- Proven experience supervising staff in a programmatic and/or community-based setting.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Strong work ethics, maintaining a professional appearance, and exercising discretion with sensitive information.
- Ability to perform tasks related to physical activity to include sitting, standing, for long periods of time, caring, bending, moving, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day implementation of violence prevention initiatives across multiple sites.
- Coordinate program activities that support coalition development, community asset mapping, and feasibility assessments.
- Monitor program timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure alignment with grant objectives.
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to implement strategic program goals.
- Lead recruitment efforts and coordination of multi-sector community coalition meetings.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations and partner agencies to strengthen community violence prevention infrastructure.
- Maintain strong partnerships with local stakeholders including CBOs, schools, and local government partners.
- Assist in coordinating coalition subcommittees and collaborative initiatives.
- Support the implementation of CHW training programs focused on violence prevention.
- Coordinate logistics and participation for CHW training sessions and professional development.
- Collaborate with trainers, program staff, and partners to ensure CHWs effectively implement outreach strategies.
- Support implementation of youth leadership development programs in partnership with community organizations.
- Oversee program activities that include youth outreach, mentoring, career readiness programming, and trauma-informed support.
- Monitor program data collection processes including surveys, participation metrics, and program outputs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of program activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the evaluation team to support data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist with preparation and submission of program reports and grant documentation.
- Contribute to the development of long-term sustainability strategies for violence prevention programs.
- Support efforts to secure continued partnerships and funding opportunities
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.37 per hour
