Project Manager – Mechanical Contracting
Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (additional hours as needed)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional with a strong understanding of mechanical contracting to oversee and coordinate commercial projects from bid to close-out. Project management experience is a plus but not required - we value hands-on knowledge of the trade, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
This is a hands-on role requiring both office and field work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project bids, budgets, and schedules
- Review specifications, blueprints, and bid requests
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Oversee on-site work, ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards
- Track progress, budgets, and deliverables; provide regular status reports
- Manage documentation including submittals, purchase orders, change orders, lien waivers, and invoices
- Monitor labor and subcontractor efficiency
- Maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues quickly
- Take ownership of project outcomes from start to finish
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of mechanical contracting, commercial HVAC, and/or sheet metal work
- Ability to read blueprints, perform measurements, and interpret construction documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks Online (BuildingConnected and Bluebeam a plus)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Positive, proactive work ethic and willingness to be both in-office and on-site
