As a Video Media Specialist, you'll help tell the Maverik story through compelling visual content that connects with our customers and supports our growing brand. The Video Media Specialist plays a key role in bringing the Maverik brand to life through engaging visual storytelling. By creating high-quality content that supports marketing initiatives, product launches, and customer engagement, this role helps strengthen our brand and connect with customers across multiple channels.
This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one remote day each week.
Regular travel is required to Maverik store locations, events, and production sites. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional early mornings, evenings, overnight travel, and multi-day production shoots as business needs require.
What You’ll do in this Role

Develop, plan, produce, and manage high-quality video projects from pre-production through post-production, including storyboarding, scripting, filming, directing, editing, color correction, audio engineering, motion graphics, visual effects, compositing, and final delivery.
- Operate professional video, lighting, and audio equipment, as well as smartphones, to create commercial, broadcast-ready, and social-first content that meets creative and technical quality standards.
- Create compelling video, and user-generated content (UGC)-style assets that support marketing, advertising, branding, point-of-purchase (POP), social media, and other customer-facing campaigns.
- Champion Maverik's Adventure Brand by developing customer-focused content that showcases products, services, and brand experiences to increase engagement, store visits, customer loyalty, and sales.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, category managers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop creative concepts, define project requirements, and execute campaigns that align with marketing objectives.
- Leverage and evaluate emerging AI technologies to enhance concept development, storyboarding, voiceovers, visual effects, production workflows, creative quality, and operational efficiency.
- Record, edit, mix, and master audio, including voiceovers, music, and sound effects, ensuring professional-quality production across all media.
- Foster continuous improvement by implementing production best practices, effective project management processes, and consistently delivering projects on schedule and in accordance with creative briefs and quality expectations.

You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:

3 years of professional experience in videography, video editing, motion graphics, and content production, preferably in outdoor, adventure, or action sports environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard production equipment and software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and professional video, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality video, motion graphics, and/or social media content.
- Experience with video editing, audio engineering, motion graphics, animation, visual effects, with strong design composition skills.
- Working knowledge of marketing, advertising, and social media content creation, with the ability to produce engaging, customer-focused creative assets.
- Passion for leveraging emerging AI tools to enhance video production, social content, and creative workflows. .

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, work outdoors for extended periods, and travel as needed for on-location productions.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:$70,000-$80,000/year DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
