Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in a variety of carpentry and general labor tasks, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Duties
- Assist with framing and finishing work using hand tools and power tools
- Perform demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Install fixtures, siding, doors, cabinets, and other building components according to specifications
- Operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to all safety protocols such as power tool safety guidelines
- Fabricate components on-site using woodworking or metalworking techniques; interpret technical drawings for precise fabrication
- Support project managers with construction estimating tasks and ensure adherence to construction plans throughout each phase
Experience
- Prior construction experience or hands-on labor work in a commercial or residential setting is preferred
- Knowledge of carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, cabinet installation, door hanging and fixture installation
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools safely in a construction site environment
- Understanding of construction plans for remodeling projects or restoration industry standards is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on demanding job sites
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
