Elevate Semiconductor is excited to offer a Fall Product Engineering Internship program designed for motivated students pursuing careers in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related fields. This internship provides hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry, working alongside experienced engineers on projects that support product development, testing, and manufacturing.
The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real engineering projects supporting Elevate’s analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering student who wants practical exposure to semiconductor product engineering, laboratory testing, data analysis, and the overall IC product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Support product characterization, validation, and engineering testing activities

Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing laboratory and semiconductor test data

Perform bench measurements and support evaluation of analog and mixed-signal IC performance

Assist engineers with troubleshooting and root-cause investigation of product or test issues

Support characterization across voltage, temperature, process, and other operating conditions

Develop or improve scripts and tools used for data collection, processing, and analysis

Document test results, procedures, findings, and engineering observations

Assist with evaluation boards, test hardware, and laboratory equipment as needed

Work closely with Product, Test, Design, and Applications Engineering teams

Support additional engineering projects based on team priorities
Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

Coursework or foundational knowledge in analog circuits, electronics, semiconductor devices, or integrated circuits

Comfortable working with technical data and performing detailed analysis

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Ability to work independently while also collaborating with an engineering team

Ability to work onsite in San Diego during the Fall 2026 semester
This internship is a temporary position paid at $23 per hour. We require interns to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week to ensure they have enough time to meaningfully contribute, learn, and gain value from the experience, while recognizing that school is their first priority and their primary job.
