Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Maintenance Professional to manage and perform maintenance and repair work across multiple commercial and residential buildings.
This role requires a hands-on individual who can track, coordinate, and execute all aspects of building maintenance while working independently and proactively, as well as collaborating with and managing others.
Schedule:
- Regular working hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday-Friday, some weekends as needed
- On-call availability required for after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance and snow removal
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance across multiple commercial and residential properties
- Diagnose and complete repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, doors, docks, and general building systems
- General carpentry, interior and exterior painting
- Landscaping and Lawn Care
- Conduct snow removal during winter events to ensure safe property access
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors when specialized work is required
- Track maintenance requests, schedules, and completed work across multiple properties
- Order all necessary materials and parts
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimize disruption to tenants and operations
- Perform after-hours emergency maintenance as needed
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate
- Maintain organized records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules
- Ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times
- Complete paperwork and coordinate with office personnel to ensure timely and accurate billing of work performed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general repairs)
- Ability to manage maintenance needs for multiple large properties simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and tracking skills
- Comfortable coordinating vendors and managing service timelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage 1-2 other employees
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Residence within 20 miles of Mars, PA
