Martha's Vineyard Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to join our growing team.
For over 50 years, we've built some of Martha's Vineyard's finest custom homes and renovations. We specialize in complex, architect-driven residential projects where craftsmanship, communication, and attention to detail matter.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships with clients and architects, and leading projects from preconstruction through completion.
This position will be filled at either the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager level, depending on experience.
What You'll Do:
- Lead high-end residential construction projects from planning through completion.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review construction documents and identify potential issues before they become field problems.
- Oversee quality control, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Conduct regular jobsite meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and the project team.
- Mentor field staff and help develop project teams.
- Assist with estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of construction project management experience (high-end residential preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and estimating.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore preferred), Google Suite, and scheduling software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Candidates with somewhat less experience who demonstrate exceptional leadership, organization, and project management ability are encouraged to apply. The position level and compensation will be based on qualifications.
