About the Role
As a Commercial Door and Dock Field Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial access systems. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to ensure that commercial doors, dock levelers, and hardware operate safely and efficiently for our diverse client base.
Responsibilities-
Execute precise installations and repairs of commercial sectional doors, dock levelers, and associated hardware.

Perform structural welding for dock leveler installations to ensure long-term stability and safety.

Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures, including spring replacements, hinge repairs, and lock maintenance.

Conduct thorough quality inspections to verify that all work adheres to building codes and safety regulations.

Provide professional consultation to customers by explaining technical issues and recommending cost-effective, durable solutions.

Maintain detailed documentation of service activities and equipment performance to support ongoing facility management.

Expand your technical expertise by learning to service pedestrian doors and advanced access control systems.
Qualifications-
High school diploma or equivalent.

4+ years of hands-on experience with industrial warehouse doors and dock equipment.

Proficiency in operating power tools and performing accurate measurements using a tape measure.

Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and work in various positions.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Current welding certification.

Experience with electrical systems, diagnostics, and access control hardware.

Prior training or experience with hollow metal doors and storefront glazing.

Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
