Hourly Rate: $20.00-$23.00/HR (Based on experience)
Position Summary
The dedicated driver will be utilized to transport agency members to a variety of appointments including but not limited to vocational workshops, medical/ behavioral health appointments. They will also be the primary trainers for other agency personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities

Follow a daily schedule for picking up and dropping off of clients to various appointments. Exhibit

Flexibility with changes in the daily schedule.

Provide assistance to consumers with onboarding and exiting vehicles, including those with mobility limitations.

Conducting road tests for new drivers as well as annual road tests for continued drivers.

Daily inspections of vehicles to ensure that vehicles are clean and safe to drive.
Documentation
Maintain accurate records of trips including mileage- Maintain daily log, identification of vehicle cleanliness and damages
Skill Requirements

The driver must be capable of safely driving 15 passenger vans or other smaller vehicles.

The driver must exercise good judgement in operating the vehicle, including obeying all traffic laws.

The driver must be trained in de-escalation methods, crisis avoidance and crisis management skills.

Exercise sound judgment in carrying out daily activities, handling crises, and emergencies.

Ability to treat consumers with respect and dignity.

Ability to speak effectively to customers.
Work Environment

The vehicles may have individuals with behavioral health and/or physical disabilities. The driver must be able
to manage certain behaviors in a professional and calm manner.
Emergency response

Respond appropriately to emergencies. Report and document incidents according to company protocols.
Requirements:
Education, Employment and Credential Requirements

High School Diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma

Valid PA driver’s license required, CDL preferred
-
A driver record with no significant restrictions is required
-
Valid PA State Criminal, FBI, Child Abuse clearances.

Clearance must be updated every 3 years per COMHAR policy.
-
Must have a current ACT 31 (Child Abuse reporting certificate).
-
Physical examination including TB test and hepatitis B.

CPR w/AED & First Aid certification
