American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Austin, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and key certifications including EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE.

Labor & Delivery unit located on the 4th floor of a hospital in Austin, TX

32-bed unit with a staff of approximately 150
-
Patient ratio of 1:2, with charge and co-charge nurse coverage on both day and night shifts
-
Common procedures include SVDs, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLACs
-
Equipment used includes Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
-
EMR system is Meditech
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Rotating weekends required
-
No on-call requirements
-
13-week contract
-
Active TX or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition), STABLE, and intermediate or advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring (or NCCEFM)

Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) competency required

SVE competency and C-section circulation experience required

Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Internal monitor placement competency is preferred

Previous HCA assignment or employment is preferred

Experience in a high-volume Level IV unit is preferred

Scrub color is navy blue; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only — t-shirts are not acceptable

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
