Assistant Teacher – Pre-K (4-Year-Old Class)
Bethel Weekday Preschool in Cornelius, NC is seeking a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher for our Pre-K (4-year-old) classroom. This position is available immediately and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children within a Christian preschool environment.

Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday
- Hours: 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM
- Location: Cornelius, NC

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with young children required
- Early Childhood Education coursework, certification, or degree preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Christian education
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities
- Observe and support the growth and development of individual children
- Manage multiple tasks throughout a busy preschool day while responding to the needs of young learners
- Become familiar with classroom routines and procedures and effectively lead the class in the absence of the Lead Teacher
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that helps children experience God's love and care through daily interactions
- Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and clean-up as needed
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with families, staff, and church members
