Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team in the evening hours of 5pm-9pm. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive women’s health services, including preventive care, reproductive health management, and patient education. Your expertise will support women across all stages of life, promoting wellness and empowering patients to make informed health decisions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and routine screenings to assess patient health status.
- Manage a wide range of women’s health issues such as family planning, prenatal care, menopause management, and gynecological concerns.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and state regulations, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists in gastroenterology, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IUD insertions/removals, and assist with minor gynecological procedures like dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments when applicable.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with certification in Women’s Health (WHNP) preferred; valid state licensure required.
- Demonstrated experience working in primary care or specialized women’s health clinics; experience with telehealth is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical documentation standards including ICD-10 coding is essential.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation related to women’s health issues.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments confidently while maintaining excellent client communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric patients, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
