PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Driver commissions is also a delivery driver who drives the company vehicle to safely deliver the goods to restaurants on a daily basis. You will be receiving the base pay plus the site-specific commissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans and trucks
- Delivering food to customers on designated routes
- Unload products and place items in customer storage area.
- Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers or managers
- Offload the items from the truck and review deliveries with recipients to ensure they’re accurate
- Obtaining delivery confirmations from customers by having them to sign the invoice
- Cleaning and servicing van or truck for the next delivery
- Any other duties as assigned by the management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive commercial driving experience with clean driving record
- Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles
- Clean driving record
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Good timekeeping skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Box truck driving experience is preferred
- Able to use forklift or pallet jack to move the pallets and/or products
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a visual or visual intellectual acuity of 20/40, with or without corrective visual aids.
- Visual, intellectual acuity of 40/20, regardless of corrective visual aids
- 70 degrees or more vision in each eye
- Being able to hear a forced whisper within 5 feet without any corrective hearing aid
- Passing the compulsory audiometer assessment
- Not having a history of high or low blood pressure
- Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting, positioning, pushing, pulling, grasping, and/or transferring of items up to 80 pounds
- Repetitive hand use is required
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing, squatting
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High school or GED equivalent.
- Proven box truck or at least 24 ft- long truck driving experience.
- Possess a valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
